Sydney 18+ months...

We are all doing very well.  Spring is definitely here and the warmer, dryer days are not being left unnoticed.  Sydney is having a blast running around in the fresh air and absolutely loves the wind blowing in her face!  She is such a special little person and seeing her relish in the small things like the wind, makes us not only appreciate her more, but appreciate all that we have.  It's easy to take so much for granted.

I find myself stopping by the computer sometimes and just watching the different pictures pop up on the screen-saver.  The other night I had such a sad feeling as there was picture after picture of when Sydney was just a baby.  I started to think "Gosh, did we love her enough when she was that little?"  Now, if that doesn't make you stop and think you are a bad parent, I don't know what would!  But, as I was thinking about it and reassuring myself that of course we loved her enough...we hadn't ever felt love like that before, I realized that it just puts so much truth into what I have said before and continue to say- Our love for her grows every day!  I have never felt my heart actually swell with pride before I had Sydney.  I always thought it was just a phrase tossed around, but I truly have felt my heart just swell and it almost takes your breath away for a second.  It's crazy how this little person, someone we made from scratch, a blessing from God, can have such an effect on you and your heart.

Needless to say, we love her so much and are just crazy proud of her and her little ways.

Sydney is continuing to add to her vocabularly, daily it seems.  She talks all the time and for the most part that is great, but sometimes I can't get a word in edgewise which prompts me to "shhh" her, but of course she just laughs and continues on with her conversation.  With that said, if you want her to talk, she will just sit there like a mute.  It is nice though having her be able to tell you what she wants, and on the flip side, being able to tell her what to do and have her understand and do it.  The other night Brian was changing her diaper and I was in the other room.  I hear him all of a sudden proclaim to Sydney, "That is the smallest turd I have ever seen!"  Without missing a beat Sydney says "Thank you." and then laughed.  It was hilarious!  So funny.

Anyway, I have had a mental list of all the things I needed to update everyone on for the last few months, and now that I actually have a minute to sit down and update you, I can't remember a single thing!  Ugh.  So, I guess I'll just get to the pics.

Pleeeeease, Daddy???

Wheeeee...

"Nanna!  Are you going to read to me, or just smother me with kisses?"

This is Sydney doing "The Itsy Bitsy Spider"...

Modeling her Koala purse from her Grandma Ruth in Australia.

Eating a birthday cupcake with the big kids!

"No, Mom.  Dad said I COULD jump on the couch."

We had turned the music on from the computer and she had to go up to it and dance.

What kind of dancing is Ms. Keeli teaching you, Sydney?!

The next few pics are what we came home to one night...Ms. Keeli and Sydney having a tea party.  (My first comment to Keeli was, "Thanks a lot, Keeli!  Now we are going to have to put water in the tea set EVERY time she gets it out!")  :) Hahaha!!
Be sure to look closely at some of the pictures as Tucker is trying to snitch.

Such pretty blue eyes.

Getting the mail with Daddy.

Daddy should know better...if you want a Sydney-free nap, don't do it on the couch!
