Well, we are getting ready to travel with Sydney for the first time. We have been trying to decide what to do in regards to her sleeping arrangement. Right now she sleeps in her Amby and so is not used to a hard flat surface. We couldn't decided if we wanted to pack that up and take it with us or not. A gal at Junior Towne was super helpful and showed us a Kidco Peapod and highly recommended it. We found one on Amazon for just under $60 and it arrived yesterday. Sydney had fun playing in it and took all her naps in it yesterday. We were curious to see how she would do sleeping in it all night...she sleeps about 11 hours in her Amby and we were almost positive she wouldn't sleep that long in the Peapod. Well, it is 11:55 a.m. right now and she is still sound asleep!!! She went to bed at midnight. And not only that, she had her last bottle at 10:45 p.m. So, needless to say, we are so happy with this new little sleeper and will hopefully have no problems while on vacation. I have posted some pictures below. It is a pretty neat little contraption. There is a little air mattress that blows up and goes in the pocket on the underside of the pod and then it just zips on the side to keep her contained and not able to roll right out of it. It is like a little mini tent and pops open when you pull it out of its bag. So, there aren't any parts that will pinch her or collapse on her.
